That brings the total number of supported languages to 5. In consideration of our European friends we have also added the metric system of measure as well as European date/time formatting. Hey folks! You-Doo version 1.5 just was just uploaded to the Beta Store and is going through final testing. Barring any setbacks, y’all should see it on your phones sometime next week! People of Germany and France rejoice! You-Doo now supports German and French languages! Also with the introduction of metric measurements all of our Non-American friends won’t have to do any math conversions to use You-Doo. Look for these and more in the update next week.
Microsoft announced that the Global rollout of it’s much anticipated operating system and firmware update was starting today. Lumia 925 and 625 are the only confirmed rollouts so far, but expect it to hit a Lumia near you soon and other brands shortly thereafter. CEO John Chen said today that the popular messaging client will be available in July on Windows Phones. The app is already available for the other major platforms. BBM users who have Windows Phones have been very vocal about their desire for a Windows client and now they get their wish. Kudos to Black Berry for listening to their users and moving the platform forward.

Prior to this update You-Doo only allowed you to set notifications upon ‘entering’ a gps location along with calendar event items. Also with the introduction of transparent live tiles in Windows Phone 8.1 coming soon, we have redone You-Doo’s live tiles to conform to your phone’s theme settings including the ability to use transparent tiles. Microsoft has answered a lot of requests in this latest update 4.1.1. The changes include things like the ability to upload multiple files at the same time, better viewing experience on large screens such as the Lumia 1520, the ability to open and save files to OneDrive from other apps, sort files and folders as well as other bug fixes and performance improvements. Head on over and update today if your phone hasn’t already picked up the update. The experience is a much better one now.
Many problems have been reported by Windows Phone users who are early adopters of the latest update to WP8.1. Microsoft has quietly responded with an update to the app that fixes a lot of the problems. Today we uploaded version 1.3 of You-Doo which adds a toast message to the ‘Passive Tracking’ notifications as an extra measure to make sure you know about a nearby task you have set up. Also, a redundant ‘Delete’ function existed on the long press menu of a task and we have removed it.
