Bioware Director Casey Hudson to lead Xbox and HoloLens games division

Remember the Mass Effect series? We do! Microsoft has hired on Casey Hudson who was the director of that series along with being a project director on the Knights of the Old Republic saga to be their new creative director for Xbox and HoloLens gaming. Lumia Denim has been announced by Microsoft

Microsoft has announced that Lumia Denim will be the next firmware release for Lumia phones including handsets like the Lumia 930, Lumia Icon and Lumia 1520. With this release you can look forward to improvements with the camera to further cement Microsoft’s domination in the mobile photography space. BING to get even better!

Microsoft is getting rid of three of their premier map programs in favor of unifying them all into Bing Maps. This should be a favorable move for us end users since it will mean consolidating features into one handy place. Bing Maps is already fantastic but looks to be getting even better in the coming months. The three map programs that are being retired are: MapPoint, Streets & Trips and AutoRoute. Video Editing Capabilities Coming to Windows Phone!

As announced during this year’s Microsoft’s ‘Build’ Conference, windows app developers will be getting new tools with the Windows Phone 8.1 update coming in the next couple of months. This means we will start to see a slew of new video editing tools coming to our app store s00n.
